UKO, Newtown

Construction Assignments continue to enjoy a strong relationship with the co-living boarding house operator, UKO. Having been appointed by a private investor, for the latest property in Newtown, we have provided client-side project management services for this Design and Construct project delivery model.

Located at 36-38 Wilson Street, the property offers 33 micro apartments, a stone’s throw from Newtown high street. The area is synonymous with urban street art, boutique shops, and an eclectic mix of bars and restaurants. Also, conveniently close is Newtown rail station, with direct links to Sydney CBD and Sydney domestic and international airports.

UKO will be operating the property, their third under a successful co-living model. The brand aspires to make inner city living possible, inspiring a way to live well both privately, and as part of a vibrant community. The inclusion of shared living spaces, and a knowledgeable local host, also contribute to the sociable lifestyle on offer.

Construction Assignments administered a single head contract on behalf of the client, as well as performing the role of Superintendent under the contract. The existing property underwent complete demolition, as well as full design, construction and fit out phases.

We are highly experienced at managing and coordinating the design development progress of a project, our expertise enables us to identify the right questions to ask and the critical risks to highlight. We employ risk management for all project phases.
