The Block, Season 14 – The Gatwick

Season 14 marked Construction Assignments’ fourth consecutive series of The Block. We provided project management services to Channel 9, managing the planning, design, construction and infrastructure works. We managed all relevant authority approvals, co-ordinated the extensive design and consultant team and monitored time and cost for the duration of the project to ensure our client’s goals and objectives were met every step of the way.

The 2018 series saw the conversion of an existing structure, a run down, infamous boarding house in St Kilda, to unparalleled luxury apartments in a strong residential Melbourne market. This project included the creation of four apartments on the lower levels, two penthouses on a new additional storey, and complete façade restoration of the iconic heritage building.

We were first engaged for The Block in 2015 for Series 11 – The Blocktagon, where an existing hotel was converted to luxury residential apartments in Melbourne’s South Yarra. At the time this was a strong change in land-use trend in real estate market boom times.

The Block has won Logie awards for Most Popular Reality Program in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
