Construction Assignments has represented family-owned property, Craigieburn Hotel, in the Southern Highlands, since 2020.

Operated by Accor’s brand ‘Peppers Resorts’ this historic site still contains characteristics of the original 1885 Victorian homestead. The property has a long-standing history as a guesthouse and hotel, and a beautifully landscaped golf course with gardens and tennis court. Informed by a detailed Conservation Management Plan, the 72-room property will undergo a comprehensive reconfiguration and upgrade. An elegant restaurant and accommodation wing, along with swimming pool, and upgraded conferencing, will complement the existing homestead cottage, while four new lodges will be nestled into the landscape with expansive views of the golf course.

The Southern Highlands is a popular location for travellers from Sydney, Canberra and further afield. Surrounded by wineries, antique stores, cafes and nature walks, Bowral is the perfect stop over for a weekend getaway, a wedding or a conference.

A heart-felt understanding of the property’s history, it’s tightly woven role in the community, and it’s modern-day operations has informed our site masterplan and concept design. With the support of Mostaghim Architects and Erilyan Construction a sensitive redevelopment has been proposed that will ensure this property’s success long into the future.
