Construction Assignments has been charged with the absolute privilege of Client-side Project Manager for Doma Group’s Little National Hotel in Sydney.

Site works for the 230- room hotel above Wynyard Walk will commence next month. We look forward to the successful delivery of this truly innovative hotel and working with a developer and investor of Doma Group’s extraordinary calibre.

Once again The Block achieved record breaking ratings in 2018 and there’s no breather for the project team with the 2019 series well underway. Construction Assignments is thrilled to be on our 5th consecutive series of the reality TV phenomena with the familiar location of Melbourne’s St Kilda.

Our dance card with the unstoppable disrupters, Alex Thorpe and Rhys Williams remains jam packed for this year also. We are on track to complete UKO’s second Sydney property next month with UKO Paddington’s opening.

UKO co-living offers a mix of custom designed micro apartments with shared community spaces which provide opportunities for tenants to socialise and entertain. Whilst a growing asset class in Europe and USA, Alex & Rhys have been first to market in Australia.

UKO Paddington is bolstered in the amazing-stakes based on the accommodation being an adaptive re-use of two adjoining Victorian terraces. Construction Assignments is thrilled to have another two Sydney locations in the pipeline with UKO investment partners.

Our new build Veriu Hotel Green Square, [JV with Charter Hall (formerly Folkestone) & Veriu] will top out in February with the hotel opening early in the second half of 2019. The hotel has 144 rooms, restaurant and bar in Sydney’s largest urban renewal precinct that is Green Square.

A special 2018 project mention goes to the successful completion & September 2018 opening of Event’s Atura Hotel Adelaide Airport.

I have been honoured with the on- going responsibility to Chair the 2019/2020 Hotel Property Committee, NSW Property Council of Australia. In this role I get to work alongside the finest hotel investment movers and shakers to make a difference in the hotel property industry. It was humbling to be given the opportunity to join NSW Division Council in 2017/18. I look forward to interacting with the crème de la crème of Australian property leaders for 2019/20.
